I've just seen 'come on girls show your natural beauty'.
Cancer can rob you of your hair, your weight, eyesight, speech, skin colour, mobility, and pride. why would you want to show your natural beauty to raise awareness for sufferers who potentially lose they'res. who makes this shit up

I only follow 144 people tbh. I only have 126 followers. Tend to block a lot of people like.

In fairness the idea is fine. It's not raising awareness of cancer, it's raising awareness that it's Cancer awareness week. Pretty sure none us would know it's cancer awareness week without them doing this. The idea of a no makeup selfie is also better than the handbag stuff from last yesr because it's meant to give people some sort of body confidence and let them see they don't have to be all caked up or whatever and maybe (but probably not) give some cancer sufferers some confidence about how looks aren't all that important.
It's fun to rant against these things but at least they're doing something, which isn't as good as donating but is obviously better than nothing at all.

I still wasn't aware it was cancer awareness week until I read your post.

Likewise, I wasn't either, just thought a load of people had found the latest fashionable "good cause" to cling onto like Kony 2012 and all of them.
It's utter bollocks that a selfie is supposed to help cancer sufferers in some way, donate some fucking money and then take your stupid selfie, it's ridiculous.

Fair enough. Most people on my fb have mentioned it in their photos.
Would still prefer they all just donated a quid each.

I was about to come in here to speak re: Dan. Your RTs kill me. They really do. You know which ones I mean. You didn't RT this though. He's started calling one of the Babestation 'models' "cunt chops" now which is my favourite thing ever, Look at the photo he posted last night of him with his girlfriend and her friends. It's stunning, absolutely mesmerising. It's like a scene from Shaun of the Dead.

Don't think people are really getting mad, just discussing it.

It's just a bit annoying that people are jumping on a good cause for attention really.

Just seen on my Facebook that a girl got nominated for a selfie but instead uploaded a screenshot of her 'thank you message' for donating to cancer research and then nominated a few people to do the same. I think that's not a bad idea tbh, a lot of people would donate a quid if they got nominated and then pass it on.

I have just seen a woman's chest who has had her breasts cut off due to having breast cancer. That is called going too fucking far. I'm aware it's fucking breast cancer awareness now thanks. Christ.
