I've always enjoyed Ricky Gervais more than anyone. Love the guy anyway and some of his jokes are golden. Love the one about the teenage cancer gig.
Watched Mickey Flanagan for a the first time on dvd the other day, thought he was alrite but got a bit repetative.

Got dozens of stand up DVDs and have been to quite a few shows (not many of my mates are as bothered about going or I'd have been more). Jason Manford was the most surprising show I've been to compared to TV. He was brilliant, including with his off the cuff interaction with the audience. Dara O'Briain is one of my favourites.
Recently seen adverts for Lee Nelson on TV, of whom I've only seen very brief clips previously. He seems like the worst male stand up to come along for a while, anyone actually seen a full set/show from him? Is that a fair assessment?

Just very basic humour tbh, but it is a gimmick portrayed by Simon Brodkin, it's not how he actually is.

Lee Nelson's not that bad tbh, aye it's a character but his sketch show was quite good, some of his jokes and wordplay are good but it's the manner in which he presents them that people turn away from. Guess it's just a sign of how well he plays that character, similar to Al Murray pub landlord, would most people who watch him realise it's just a character and he's got a masters in history from Oxford?

Yeah, sorry but I'm not having that Lee Nelson is funny. I see what he's going for but I find it mundane and tedious.

If anything, I didn't think he even played it particularly well, was just an awful caricature. But then I feel the same about Al Murray and he seems quite popular.

I find the person who portrays Lee Nelson good. That Star Stories thing he did (I think?) on Channel 4 was pretty decent. I don't find his character Lee Nelson funny though.
Hate Dapper Laughs too. He thinks he's funny trying to stalk celebrities and saying something "funny" in the vicinity of them. Tbh if I did that I would probably have the same amount of followers as him. His general comedy is shite too.
