So the Ballon D'or is on tonight. Ronaldo is the favourite to win it with Messi then Ribery behind. Seems a formality that Ronaldo will win it given the year he's had tbh. Sure there's a live stream on or something.
Also, the "leaked team of the year" is doing the rounds and with some dubious inclusions and I thought that it could be a good point of discussion over who should/shouldn't be in the team.
The team that was shown at the dress rehearsal was;
Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich)
Dani Alves (Barcelona) Thiago Silva (Paris St Germain) Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich) Andres Iniesta (Barcelona) Xavi (Barcelona) Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris St Germain) Lionel Messi (Barcelona)

Ridiculous if Ronaldo doesn't win it.

Yeah haha.
I don't really mind Xavi/Iniesta being in it but to only have 2 Bayern Players is a bit of a joke.
Some fan who won a seat at the ceremony asked Ribery if he will sign for PSG now because they're rich.
And as a football fan it is a bit amazing to see those 10 (missing iniesta) players standing alongside each other like that.

This team of the year business is really a joke, Schweinsteiger is ridiculously underrated, neither Iniesta nor Xavi were particularly good this year and I don't think Dani Alves should have been in the last two or three but he's there every year.

No Alaba is just bizarre. Been excellent for Austria as well as Bayern.

Dani Alves hasn't been anywhere near the best right back since 2011 at the latest.

Would have had Yaya and Scheweinsteiger over Xavi and Iniesta in the Fifa 11. Xavi is not the player he used to be. Also glad to see Ronaldo won, well deserved imo although still regard Messi as the overall better player of the two.

Xavi and Iniesta haven't even been the best midfielders for Barca this past year. Cesc has been unreal at times. Schweinsteiger and Alaba notable exceptions.
Ramos pick is slightly bizarre too, but there aren't any CBs around who've been that great this year.

Surprised at the distance of vote percentage between third (Ribery) and the rest tbh. Thought it would be much tighter around that area.
