John Bostock, what a fucking myth, though 4 games for Palace when tgey were truly on their arae is less a flash and more the final flicker of a cheap energy saving lightbulb

Stephane Dalmat was ace as fuck. Proper out and out winger. Then he nutted Robbie Keane and was quickly sent on his way

To suggest a manager who very much was flash in the pan..
Paul Le Guen
10 years ago he was touted 'Next Wenger' while at Lyon, Went to Rangers and flopped, Went to PSG and flopped aside from a league cup win, Now managing Oman..

Marcus Stewart - second top goalscorer in the Premier League when Ipswich were promoted and made it to 5th place, then scored 6 league goals the following season when they were relegated, never played in the Premiership again I think and stayed in the Championship.

On the manager front, Juande Ramos was the shit for a while but then faded out of the top manager scene.

I'm going to throw Titi Camara into the ring, for any Liverpool/West Ham fans to marvel upon. By virtue of him being one of my favourite Premier League players ever, so he may never have even flashed... But yeah. Titi Camara.

Does Heskey even count? He was brilliant for us the season we won the treble.
Edit: Just seen his stats for us. He scored 39 goals in 150 games, so nevermind.

Offered us a lot more than goals. He was also our second striker in a time where Owen and Fowler were banging them in for us, and they weren't exactly charitable to their team-mates.

The media gets way too excited over young managers. I'm sure we've had Iain Dowie and Aidy Boothroyd touted as future England managers in the past decade.
