22 shots, only 3 on target and 0 goals. Fuck's sake, I thought that only happened in FM.

How the fuck didn't we win that?!
Had a shitload of chances, hit the woodwork 3 times, couldn't believe that we didn't score.
Silly red from Remy. Puts us well in the shit on Saturday with Shola, De Jong (if he does sign) and potentially Cisse as our fit strikers. Hope Pardew doesn't play for the occasion and put Shola up front on his own. Yes he has a tendency to score against Sunderland but he hasn't scored a goal in fucking ages. The least I would expect is him up front with De Jong (not doing that whole substitute welcome bollocks)or Cisse or of course, just putting him on the bench will do.
Over to Kinnear to see if we can replace Cabaye before the deadline.

Only in Mike's world is "doing a Lloris" a genuine criticism of player.
Great result for Liverpool, don't you guys have all the top teams at home now? Maybe you could still get top 3/4 after all? Depends on injuries a lot I suppose.

Every game next month is winnable, including Arsenal at home. We've got Brom, Fulham and Swansea, all of whom we can put a few past. Our run in isn't too fun though, Saints away, United away, Spurs, Chelsea, City at home. But top 4 is definitely achievable, new signings or not.

Start of the end for our title challenge. Shite run in February, always woeful in March.

I feel Michael Owen did a massive disservice to Cissokho that game. Not that I nor anyone values his opinion, but he was comparing him to Traore and decided to just laugh at him for trying to get the ball away quickly. Truth be told, he was class on the defensive side of things tonight. Massive improvement.
Also Traore has a CL winners medal and Owen doesn't, so let's laugh at the European Cup winner.

To be fair to Owen he was right about what he said about Cissokho in regards to being horrible in possession. He just looks clumsy and never in control of the ball whether it's his first touch or running with it. Alright defensively. And that's being generous, IMO.

Generally, he's alright defensively. Tonight he was monstrous. I won't see a bad word said about him, by a million miles his best performance for us. The entire defence was imperious. He does fine when he's got Toure or Sakho next to him so they can communicate more efficiently. You could hear Kolo screaming at him to keep a check on his man. Agger wouldn't do that.

We've just destroyed a team which has gone to all of the top sides and put up a serious challenge.
Also, the rest of the season is enough to judge us on. From that, we definitely deserve top 4.

I wouldn't say that Cissokho was monstrous tonight defensively, I thought that was was certainly very solid but Everton got a good bit of joy out of Mirallas (and there is no shame in that, ever) which to me takes him down a peg from God Amongst Men.
And he's still downright profligate with his passing most of the time, including tonight.

Why are Gerrard and Lampard the only English players who can regularly score penalties? shouldn't have let shola slip through the net
