That has to be the most surreal 20 minutes of football I've ever seen. Had only landed in Malaga a couple of hours before kick off. Set up the weekend. Fantastic.
Watched the match back this morning and we were excellent. Coutinho and Sterling's pressing really set the tone, thought they were both outstanding. Coutinho's close control in tight spaces is just magic. Great team performance all round though, I'm still bouncing.

Think the setting of the interview says a lot about the point of that interview. If it was done through United it would be at Carrington or Old Traffod but the fact it was at his house suggests his PR people set the interview up so Cleverley could have his say.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's one who sticks around next season, he's a useful squad player but relies on confidence. After his goal against Villa he went on a good run of games when we were winning and looked much better but United are losing he's usually one of the worst. If he does leave I think he'll do really well somewhere if he can play every week.

Or yano, a player can be struggling to find form then things change for him when he's given a different role to perform? Not too hard to understand that is it.

It seems Coutinho has gone from being 'complete aids' to brilliant in the space of two or three games. who said that?

Is there such a thing as half-aids either?

Of course not, the term is 'incomplete aids'.
Coutinho has been fantastic recently though, starting to look how he did last season now. His pressing has been much, much better and some of his passing has been brilliant, the one for Sturridge was glorious.

Both him and Sterling, the latter of whom seems to constantly get himself into great positions but ends up tamely hitting it straight at the keeper. His first shot for his second goal at Arsenal was fairly terrible. He needs to learn how to compose himself in those situations, I'm sure it'll come with experience.

Sterling's runs in behind the high line has been ridiculously effective against the bigger teams this year. Would've been even more so had the lino in that City game not shit himself.

I dunno, he had surgery at the end of last month on his knee and that's usually at least another 6 weeks recovery, so if we're comfortable, we might not see him until the run in.
