The final third was outstanding imo, felt like it was by far Scorsese's best attempt at deglamourising organised crime. Pesci stole every scene he was in for me, it was great seeing him in almost the complete opposite style of role to his haydays.
Considering how much talk there was about the digital de-aging I didn't really notice it much, but what really took me out of the film was how clearly old the actors were with their physical movements despite the de-aging. It was almost comical at some points (the grocery scene in particular).

Yeah I know what you mean. It was heartbreaking because it felt like something loads of couples go through. The scene where the fling increasingly bitter insults at eachother was incredible from both of them

I feel weirdly emotional after seeing Rise of Skywalker. Did you like it? I loved it but everyone seems to hate it lol. Didn't expect to get that emotional during it.

Tbh I feel really mixed. Like I think there were some great, great Star Wars moments, but there was a lot of bad stuff surrounding the good imo. I’m also just annoyed at JJ Abrams in general with his whole mystery box nonsense.
I didn’t hate it but I am just a bit sad about how it all turned out. Because I feel like the characters are great in spite of a lot of the shite story they had to wade through. Across all 3 films.
Also the fact they just sidelined Rose was so blatantly pandering to all the dickheads that hated TLJ it was pathetic.

Plenty of "wow" moments that will stay with me but the story seemed all over the place and I'm left feeling in need of another to actually finish all the individual stories. And relegating Rose to a glorified cameo to please the incels is shocking work.

Enjoyed Rise of Skywalker more than I expected to given the reviews and tweets. Not amazing by any means but a solid enough end to the trilogy. Don’t know how much that’s just because of the ridiculous cast rather than the story itself but I didn’t dislike it anyway.

Yeah I saw it again and enjoyed it a lot more the second time round. I still think there’s a lot of shite in it but the good parts I really enjoy. I am still a bit sad with how some of the story went and where characters ended up/probably never seeing them again, but it’s not a gripe with this film specifically

I loved it more second time around with more of an idea of what story Tarantino was trying to tell. Even the first time I was completely glued to the screen though, I thought it was great, just was a bit confused as to the pacing and narrative.

I tend not to get the fuss with Tarintino and that's no exception. Certainly did enjoy it but he's a knack of making 3 hour films about fuck all bar a handful of good exchanges.

Went to see Jojo Rabbit last night which I only went to see because 1917 was sold out but I’m so glad it was, Jojo Rabbit is really really good. Laughed so much and it’s really moving as well, Scarlett Johansson is fantastic.
Still need to see 3 of those, most interested to watch Parasite. Marriage Story would be my favourite out of everything I’ve seen there.
