What's the nighttime temps like? That's always been the killer for me, I can handle daytime heat up to 40 if I'm sensible but if it's mid-20 or above at night I'm done for.

Venice is 25, but when we arrived it felt much higher. It was 29 last night (9/10pm CET). Also mad impractical if you’re staying deep on the island and carting around bags of luggage up and down stairs where I may or may not have got lost….

Fucking great time to be on holiday in Marrakesh, one of the most surreal experiences of my life that.
600 dead rising from 5 when we first got updated overnight, horrific

Lisbon. Very hot, very hilly. People were lovely. Food was great. Not as cheap as I'd heard. Underrated city break.

Lisbon, and a general trip around Portugal, has been on my wishlist for a while but seems to slip into second or third place when it comes time to book something.

Lisbon, and a general trip around Portugal, has been on my wishlist for a while but seems to slip into second or third place when it comes time to book something. We had four days and did pretty much everything - any longer and we'd have tacked on a day trip to Sintra. Porto is meant to be lovely too. As city trips go it's just a relatively easy one. Because the airport is in the middle of the city, there's loads of buses plus the metro to get you around straight off the flight. There's a ridiculous variety of food and drink options (and price points). The only caveats are that it can sometimes flood with Chinese/American tourists if there's more than one cruise ship in port, and the hills my God the hills are horrendous in places. But I'd definitely put it up there as a should-visit. Forgot to add anywhere near the old town you will get offered (fake) drugs on every single street corner.

Going to Copenhagen for 4 days in November with the other half. Other than the Kierkegaard Statue & Kronborg Slot, our list of things to do is pretty short. Anyone been? Suggestions?
Also— is it as terribly expensive as some say? I’ve tried to look at some prices for things like coffee shops/bakeries etc and it doesn’t seem too dissimilar to London so I’m wondering if it mainly western imports like fast food chains which we’d not be going to to which the price difference applies

Don't bother with the little mermaid statue it's pish and takes an age to walk to from memory.
Nyhavn looks beautiful but is a proper rip-off if you eat/drink anywhere along there.
Tivoli might be open - even if the theme park isn't operating the gardens are worth a visit at night, there's usually live performances and light shows.
Price wise I don't recall it being noticeably pricey - cheaper than Sweden and Norway were. If you're used to London prices you'll be fine.
One thing to watch for is the main train station has all the usual food outlets if you're short on time/cash/motivation but it's absolutely rife with pickpockets and scam artists, worst I've ever seen.
