anyone here ever travelled around asia for a few months? finding it hard to find much useful info when there's just so much out there. is it best to just book your return flight in advance? seems to be a lot lot cheaper that way

I'm sure someone on here has done a Dortmund trip before?
Any advice? Looking at late November, they play on a Friday night so should be able to get another game in on the weekend too. I know they sell out often but not sure if a Friday night game against Paderborn would do?

I did a Dortmund game. Ended up having to use viagogo as it was the derby with Schalke but might be easier for that game. I didn't do much in Dortmund as I was only there for a few hours before and after the game. I did do the German football museum which is right outside the train station. It was worth the hour or two.

I quite liked it - not as nice as Prague but enough to do.

I think I prefer it over Prague although I went to Prague in 2008 so probably not remembering it so well. I just remember being harassed by people in Prague all the time and it done my head in. Amazing place though.

I did Budapest last year and I’m doing Prague in two weeks.
What a place Budapest is though. Absolutely stunning.

I wouldn’t put Prague in the same bracket as Budapest though but it’s been a great few days. I love looking at the architecture in these kinds of places and some of it is incredible.

Off to Edinburgh on Tuesday for 5 days with the other half. Got a Castle tour, midnight ghost tour, and zoo trip booked in. Was hoping to do Arthur's Seat one morning while she has a lay in.
Anything that anyone would recommend will be greatly appreciated, any hidden gems in terms of churches/cemetaries etc.

Edinburgh is the bees knees. Can't wait to see the city that tops it because honestly I did not want to leave.
The people and hospitality, the blend of monuments in the New Town alongside the humdrum of general city life (that said I did prefer the slightly quieter George/Queens Street to Princes Street).
Then the Old Town... man!!! Loved how it was overlooking everything and then when you're in it- the historic sites and churches, the uni buildings, the little cafes and bookshops. Great, great, great, city.
