No, but Poch spoke really highly of him and had him in and around the senior squad for training and all that. There was definite rumblings that he'd be getting minutes in the FA Cup for eg. Mourinho literally said at the start of this season that if Lampard picked Abraham he was "not having a serious season" and Tammy is obviously further developed than Parrott is. That's the indicator of what Mourinho thinks of youth players. I'm not saying Parrott would solve all Spurs problems, I'm just looking at it from an Irish POV and everyone is really excited about him. It's not just about him getting game time, it's also that he had a manager there that really believed in him and his new manager famously just doesn't trust young players at all, so what's it gonna do for his development having Mourinho in charge? For what it's worth, Mourinho singled out u21 centre half Tanganga in training yesterday to one of his coaches for development so there might be hope yet in terms of youth, and you have to imagine Mourinho isn't deaf to the praise surrounding Parrott. If he reverts to a two-up-top formation, if it isn't immediately Alli that plays off Kane but just behind, then there could be a chance for our lord and saviour Troy. I just hope he doesn't go out on loan for the next 4 years. If he can stay and get minutes here and there with players like Son, Alli, and Ndombele behind him it'll soon be clear that he can be a top top player. Would have no problem with him going out on loan maybe next year but I think being around the senior squad is a great learning curve for him at this stage in his development, if he went on loan down the leagues he'd probably get physically bullied and it's questionable how much use that'd be to him. It's not so much the gametime that worries me, it's the fact Poch was so big on him and there's no telling what Mourinho will think. There's too many stories of the wrong manager coming in and it completely derailing a youth players career. Although Parrott is, by all accounts, a special talent rather than the usual story of a lad capable of making it with the right conditions.

Immense pressure on Raul and Vinnai to get this right.
Don't waste time pissing Wolves off, if you can't get him, bring Poch in

Poch said last year he'd rather go back to Argentina and work on a farm than manage Barcelona or Arsenal

You think sacking him might have changed his mindset?

Not really judging by his statement yesterday

I find it really strange that the likes of Arteta and Ljunberg are being touted for this, surely it calls for a big manager with experience? I'd liken Arsenal to be in a similar position at the moment as us when Rodgers was sacked, needed a big personality to come in

If Pochettino isn't an option I reckon Rafa is a great shout for Arsenal. Enough clout to command some respect, tons of PL experience and should be able to sort out the backline. Also I just miss having him around.

Poch is 100% waiting for the PSG job for me. Go to France for a few years then go off to Madrid and then the Argentinian NT job.

Yeah I think he'll hold out for the PSG job, partially because of his his relationship with the club and fans there but probably just as important is that it'll be an easy way to get rid of the never won a trophy as a manager tag

Arsenal fans do not deserve Rafa. Becoming a bit of a joke how little I rate Nuno but if I was a big club looking to appoint him I’d be seriously worried about how often Wolves struggle at home against teams they should be beating comfortably and how poor they look going forward when they don’t get to play on the counter. But no one really knows anything about managers doing well or not.
I could definitely see an argument for Arteta or Ljungberg coming in, after Wenger and Emery have just sucked all the excitement out, just someone more energetic and vibrant to give them a lift and all those cliched things.
