I'm sure all of us will be watching this on BBC 1 at 8pm, apart from Stu who'll be watching some nobodies on a commercial propaganda production line on ITV, or the NFL lot who'll be watching Money Manziel tear it up, or anyone else really but I'll put this up just in case.
10 nominee's are as follows;
Gareth Bale
Moved to Real Madrid for a world record fee, 22 goals and 16 assists in his debut season as well as playing a key role in helping secure both the Copa Del Rey and the Champions League.
Charlotte Dujardin
Rides horses n' shit.
Carl Froch
Had one fight in 2014 where he "Cobra'd" George Groves.
Kelly Gallagher & Charlotte Evans
Definitely not a case of filling a quota, Gallagher and her guide Evans won the UK's first winter paralympics gold medal.
Lewis Hamilton
Won 11 races in 2014 on his way to winning his second Drivers Championship.
Rory McIlroy
Two major titles this year, as well as securing three points for Europe in retaining the Ryder Cup.
Jo Pavey
At 40 became the oldest ever European champion in the 10'000m, 10 days after winning bronze in the same event at the Commonwealth Games.
Adam Peaty
2 Commonwealth golds and 4 European golds, the latter of which he also broke the world 50m breaststroke record.
Max Whitlock
Silver in the all-around in the World Championships, Gold in the pommel horse at the Europeans and 3 golds, a silver and a bronze at the Commonwealth Games.
Lizzy Yarnold
Won Great Britain's only gold medal at the Winter Olympics in the skeleton.
Odds at the moment are as follows; McIlroy 8/13, Hamilton 5/4, Pavey 33/1, Bale 50/1, Froch 100/1, Dujardin 100/1, Yarnold 125/1, Peaty 200/1, Gallagher + Evans 200/1, Whitlock 200/1
McIlroy the clear favourite and rightly so, would have thought Bale might have been higher than Pavey but then she's got the story behind her.
