So people of the SNC Community, what is your living situation at the moment? Are you still living at home? Living on your own? Living with friends/gf/bf? Living in a different city due to Uni? Or just wanting to move out soon? Do you rent, or do you have a mortgage or what not? Are you enjoying it, or are you regretting it?
I myself am at the point where I would like to move out, prefferably into a house with a mate or two. But would need to start saving if I actually want to stick to it. I just appreciate having my own space and even if I did move out and into a place with the one or two mates i've talked about doing so with then it would be alright for me cause we all work different hours so practically like having the place to yourself at most times anyway.
Like I'd be able to afford the rent and things like that, it's just taking into account most places to rent aren't furnished and would mean that we'd have to do extra saving for furniture and the like.

Live with my mate and my sister, although thankfully she's moving out soon to live with her boyfriend.
Rent is ridiculous, what I earn at the moment just about covers all my outgoings leaving me like £100 spare a month for food/petrol.

Looking to move at the end of January. Got a viewing today after work.
Realised with deposit, rent and agency fees, I'm looking at a very light budget until January payday. Need to find somewhere before 4th January so I can end my contract where I am (or gamble on finding a place after). Hopefully this place isn't shit so I can just get it.
Edit: Fucksake just got a text saying the viewing is cancelled cos the cunt looking at it this morning has put the deposit down.
Spelled my name as Micheal as well the fucking mongs.

Living alone in a small appartment. Rent is ridiculous here too, but the pay more than makes up for it.

I live in university halls, pretty good most of the time, can't deny I'm looking forward to going home for a month though.

Did you get to hang out with all the boys?
I rent a shithole house with my missus and two kids in the nowhere town of Tain. It's not too bad, and it's cheap. 5 minute walk from where I work most of the time as well. Looking to buy somewhere in the next year or so, inverness is looking the most likely unless she wants to move to Aberdeen.

Living with my old uni mate. Rent's pretty good for where the place is so I usually end up with enough to get by although bus routes to my work are a bit shit. My bedrooms pretty tiny but it doesn't bother me that much tbh all the room I need really. Gonna see how things are looking after our lease is up.
Couldn't go back to staying with parents long term. Did it for 3-4 months after uni and just couldn't hack it. You reach a stage in life were you just cannot live under someone else's roof.

Inherited my house when my mother passed away as I'm an only child. No mortgage left or anything.
I was renting for about 2 years up until earlier this year, nowt worse then seeing a large chunk of money going down the massive well that is a landlord.

luisgarciaisgod Condolences re: your mum, man. What did you do with the house? Currently residing at Uni, in quite possibly the worst halls. No common area, shared bathroom (like a set of shower cubicles and toilets at a gym) and no kitchen because we're catered for. No idea what to do in the summer when its too hot to hang drink/milk out of the window because the mini fridges we were given in the "kitchenette" are warm most of the time. Only put into this block because we all went through clearing. Put a deposit down on a house for next year though which is all inclusive, internet and sky so just counting down the days really.

Bought a flat about 4 years ago now. Always had it in my mind I'd be here for about 5 years so going to start looking at houses next year. Can't decide if I want to live out in the sticks or not. Like the idea of having no neighbours and a bit of land but be a bitch for taxis whenever I'm getting pished.
Most of my mates rent places, and they pay more in rent than I do in mortgage payments. If you are living at home I'd advise staying there and saving up a deposit to buy instead of rent. You never see that rent money again and have little control over when you want to move. One mate of mine has moved flat every year for 4 years because his landord has wanted to sell or other shite like that.

Lived in Birmingham the last 3 years for Uni, moved out in around April this year and back in with my Mum, step-dad etc in Shropshire. Lasted around a month there before I wanted to kill myself so moved in with my Dad in Reading. Can't really look at moving out at all because I'm not on a guaranteed hours contract at work (hopefully that'll change in the next 6 months) and rent around here is ridiculous.
