Shearer takes that 'punch' like a champ. Keane might as well be jumping round screaming HOLD ME BACK, he looks like he couldn't give a fuck. Keane's since admitted that Shearer bought that out of him as well, wound him up like an idiot

The time he kneed someone in the back in a slightly crucial game wasn't great either.

Intentionally going out to end someone's career is a lot worse than racism which, as deplorable as it is, isn't physically hurting anyone or impacting on their career. Well it's obviously going to sound more deplorable if you start making things up. Firstly he's never said he intentionally went out Haaland's career, just that he wanted to hurt him in 'revenge'? Secondly he didn't end his career, the injury that did that did that was actually on Haaland's other leg. Then somebody has been spreading misinformation.

It's hard to split the two but anyone who said Vieira because he offered more going forward is forgetting the 51 goals Keane scored for United.

Vieira was a cunt.
Also most people haven't seen much of Keane in the 90s here, which is fair enough I haven't seen that much of him then either but from the odd clips/matches he was handy going forward.

Nice to see Vieira has smashed this poll heh. Still remember so vividly him scoring the winning pen against Utd in the FA Cup in 05. A 14 year old me had no idea that a trophy drought was about to follow - was so spoiled in those years both in terms of silverware and the football played.

I was there too back in my Arsenal days. Pandemonium at the final whistle.

I mean this with the highest amount of bias, but Vieira was much better.
Keane was just an angry fuck that could incoherently boss people around. Or in other words, Irish.

Watched the documentary there and I have to say that Vieira seems like a decent enough guy off the field even if he was a prick on it. Keane is still a psycho though and a very bitter man, I couldn't believe when he gave out about Ferguson saying that he covered every blade of grass. He'd just been read out a piece where it said Ferguson was honoured to be associated with such a player and he still slagged off Ferguson. Odd fellow, good television though.
Still agree with everything Ferguson said about him though. His sharpest muscle is his tongue, his eyes do get ridiculously narrow when he gets angry (was funny when he actually did it when he heard it) and he was a difficult player to deal with. Keane showed there again in the interview that he is still a difficult man to deal with.

Went for Keane. He's a funny character and that Juventus game.

Roy Keane has done well considering he had a horrible injury which reduced his career time and potential. I get the feeling that injury was turning point in his career where he became cynical and bitter because of that and it became a slow descent into becoming an on-pitch thug. He's too aggressive and outspoken to survive in the modern managerial climate. I reckon he'd have done well if he was managing a few decades ago. His peak was the year 2000 when he was hands down awesome.
