Went for Vieira, he's a far more superior player technically and still brings the same intensity that Keane was famous for. Keane had his own strengths and I think I just missed out on his peak years but still saw enough of him to make a fair judgement.
If you want someone to bring the passion and leadership to a highly technical side, then Keane is a good choice for that role but if you want a player to become an integral part of your system and lead through example, then that's Vieira's role.

Finally watched the documentary. Really fascinating watch, I really like Roy Keane, think he's portrayed as being this unhinged nutter, but I just think he genuinely doesn't give a fuck, to his detriment at times but also meant he could have an apathy for his opponents that allowed him to dominate them like he did. Bizarre how angry he was about Ferguson's complimentary passage about him though.

Bizarre how angry he was about Ferguson's complimentary passage about him though. I thought that bit was class. To be fair his logic doesn't surprise me. He's never been one to bathe in praise from others and he his line about congratulating the postman for bringing you letters was brilliant. Obviously a lot of bitterness over how his United career ended but again I can see why he feels that way. I don't think Keane's a psycho at all. He's brutally honest and holds deep convictions - those convictions might change but if he has to argue he will tooth and nail. Kinda highlighted by his regret over the World Cup. What I found fascinating was when they stood next to eachother. I knew Vieira was taller than him but he seems much more physically imposing than Keane.
