When he was at Ajax he wanted a move away and instructed his agent to see if anyone was interested. His agent came back with 'there's interest from Southampton' and Zlatan responded 'Southampton, who the fuck are Southampton?'
Then he got a new agent who told him that Juve were interested Ibra responded 'well it's better then Southampton'

Steve Paterson's of a highland hero is a quality read. A bit different, a lot about his time in Scottish football as well as playing for man utd and in Japan, all while being a piss head gambling addict

Idk I reckon they've given away the best bits of it already (stating the obvious).
Probably settle on Bergkamps book for holiday, anybody read it?

I enjoyed zlatans book, particularly enjoyed the sections when he was talking about his relationship with guardiola, how him and Henry used to play a game and see how much eye contact they got off him haha.
Just finished pirlos book there now good read, 20 chapters in 150 pages, looks as if it didn't take too much effort, like anything he does on a football pitch really.

I've got Pirlo's book to read, need to get stuck in to it. Do you actually buy the books mate ? If so, you must have quite the collection. Personally, I just get a pdf version, read it, delete it. As for recommended books, avoid Ferige's latest one, it is such a bore. I read Harry Redknaps, which was slightly better than fergies, but if you're looking for an insightful book check out "Barca: The Making of the Greatest Team in the World" by Graham Hunter.

Yeah Fergie's book was all leaked beforehand. Knew what was coming up before it did.
Only good parts were the bits on Keane in pre season training and Fergusons long term tactics to beat Barca which never materialised.

I have been aye, don't have a massive collection though, got a few though. Lend tons out which I never see again as well. I've got a kindle as well, should really use that more.

I want to read LVG's biography but sadly it appears to be only in Dutch and German (as he was the Bayern manager at the time it was published I think). If he's as outspoken and honest in that as he is in public then it'll be an interesting read.

I didn't realise I actually have quite a few autobiographies/biographies at this point. Off the top of my head; Gerrard, Carragher, Bellamy, Fowler, Fergie, Rooney, Pirlo. Got bored of Fergie's though, once I realised I don't actually have an interest in what he was saying.
Bellamy's is quality though, really liked that.

I just can't see Pirlo's book being at all interesting? I thought it was worth a read, he often goes into tangents, whatever he has to say is good but once he says it he goes off on one speaking shite....which was oddly enjoyable. Paul I've bellamys as well and it is quality. was thinking about getting the graham hunter book about barca and I think he has one about Spain?
