Anyone read any other books of Jonathan Wilson's apart from Inverting the Pyramid? Mean to read the goalkeeper or Behind the Iron Curtain at some stage. Almost finished Behind the Curtain, it's a brilliant read. About to order my next book now. Thinking of Ajax, The Dutch, The War & finally the Verona one seeing as I need two for free delivery. Did the read Ajax... BlueMoon? Seem to remember you mentioning it. Anyone else read anything decent lately?

I read the goalkeeper one. Was okay, not as good as inverting the pyramid. There are too many goalkeepers referenced almost, ends up hard to remain interested in them all. Some interesting parts all the same.
Seem to have lost my fucking kindle so there goes lots of football books, fuck sake.

I was never too keen on the goalkeeper one anyway. Would definitely recommend behind the curtain though. Especially if like me your knowledge of the countries covered is limited. Didn't overwhelm we detail but enough to keep you in the loop. Would like to read more on Yugoslavia now.
Don't your books go to like Kindle's version of iCloud? Of course you're a kindle short but my gf had hers stolen and got her "books" back. (Don't know why I've put books in inverted commas. Right? Wrong? Don't care?)

Should be saved to your amazon account Mycon, if you get a replacement Kindle it'll all be there.

Yeah that wouldn't be bad, still missing the kindle. Left it on the bus, ringing various bus stations hoping someone left it in.

I've got that Football Cliche's book, it's a bit disappointing tbh. If you've been following the Twitter account for any period of time you'll have seen most of it already.

Did the read Ajax... BlueMoon? Seem to remember you mentioning it. Anyone else read anything decent lately? Got it, still not read it, not too long finished another one of Simon Krupers though, Football Against the Enemy, really good, it looks at football in war time (funnily enough) or other pre/post conflict areas i.e. Argentina during dictatorship and Africa during Apartheid. It gives you just enough information, a decent insght without going overboard on the detail so it wets the appetitte to go do further reading. The Eastern European stuff was my favourite, all the old Russian teams etc However, if you want to go Dutch read "Brilliant Orange: The Neurotic Genius of Dutch Football"... it's brilliant I have just finished my TED Talks book, not sure to go for a football one next or now, might do that Ajax one... anyone read the The Secret Footballers guide to the Modern Game, the new one, about tactics and stuff? Saw it in the airport over Christmas and considered picking it up

Aye I've got that cliche one too, the most use I got out of it was loaning it to a mate who found particular interest in "caressing the ball in the net"
Caressed - a more romantic take on passing the ball in. About as tender as goal scoring gets.
I expected more from it, do usually enjoy some of the tweets from Adam hurrey.
I've the barca one from graham hunter, just yet to get time to sit down and read it.
