That commentator was worse than Martin Tyler for getting excited about a player taking a shot. Draw would have been a fair result after that shocking offside decision. Sterling maybe should have done slightly better with his chance in the second half too.
Who said the tug on Suarez was a stonewall penalty, might have been Michael Owen? So by his reckoning he also thought the 3/4 tugs on Kompany on corners were also stonewall penalties aswell. It happens on every single corner.

To be fair he said you can't give that if you're not gonna give the Skrtel ones but they were all pens

Gutted there, we done enough for at least a point. Weaknesses in squad shown up when it mattered. Love the way we're playing just now. Kompany and Negrado were class though.

And what has that got to do with this being the worst Chelsea side that Mourinho has managed? That was in response to you saying Chelsea's defence have been poor and shouldn't be immune from criticism. Seems like a strange thing to use against Chelsea considering they've been better defensively than Liverpool this season. That's not the point. No one said we've been defensively class. My dad'll batter your dad and all that.

As a closet liverpool fan, that was bloody annoying to watch. Fair play to both teams though, great game.
Cissokho really is poor

That is how football should be played, not like what Chelsea did on Monday.

phew. for 35 minutes that had all the makings of being 'one of those days'. cabaye and hatem class, please to see cisse score again. why hatem isn't on penalties is beyond me, and stephen n'zonzi really is an excellent player, and arlie chadam was annoyingly good as well

I don't know how you put up with it. I endured 5 months of the most boring football imaginable and would hate if we ever went back to that. It's disgusting.

That is how football should be played, not like what Chelsea did on Monday. Better to play 45 minutes of uninspiring football and get a point than play 45 minutes of good football and leave with nothing. Would you really pay the cost of a ticket at The Emirates to watch the uninspiring dross your lot served up on Monday night? At least Liverpool gave it a go. Football should be entertaining, it's a sport we're meant to enjoy watching. So I disagree, I would rather attack and lose than defend the whole game and scrape a point.

Weren't arsenal dire as well though? Sure I saw somewhere they didn't have a shot on target in 90 minutes?

Yeah they were poor, still at least they can say they tried to attack and they had a very good chance via Giroud who managed to put it wide from like 10 yards. Very hard to find a way through when the opposition is sitting back like Chelsea did.
Fully aware I sound like Wenger here atm btw.

Football should be entertaining, it's a sport we're meant to enjoy watching. So I disagree, I would rather attack and lose than defend the whole game and scrape a point. Something I was talking about with a mate the other day when he brought up our trophy drought. I've sat through some utterly brilliant performances, some utterly brilliant results and they've been done during 90 minutes of football during which I'm usually engrossed in our style of play. Would I have the same enthusiasm to tune in and watch if all I was doing was waiting for us to win and doing so in a boring and dross manner? Unlikely. It's a weird position to be in, I've never known us not play exciting football (at least not consistently) so it's never been a case of not enjoying watching us. Think too many fairweather fans these days are focused on winning, at all costs, and not factoring in that football is meant to be a form of entertainment. Mad that the media will constantly push that there's too much of an emphasis from an early age to win, and not enough on technical ability, and then constantly lambast teams (not just us, but recently at least it has been) for not winning a trophy in so many years. Which brings kids up in a culture where you're laughed at if your team doesn't win a trophy, and nobody really cares about the quality of football or technical ability on show.
