Wondering if anyone has any idea what I can do to feel better. Pretty much since about October when I'm at uni I've just felt ill and it's really annoying me, just constantly feeling nauseous, struggling to eat (don't get much food down me at all really), and worst of all considering I'm at uni, hardly feel like drinking and having a good time, can get a little bit down me but not like I can just go all out and not worry about it. Think I should maybe try not having such late nights constantly, but I do that at home and never felt like this. Also think I might have lost too much weight too quickly, lost a fair bit since I've been to uni just basically from not eating very much, and now my appetite feels permanently affected. Like even when I was at home over xmas and feeling a bit better my appetite wasn't what it used to be, like my portions when we had a meal were pretty pathetic, didn't have too much at all. Someone help, this is shite.

Anxiety.
Well, that's what it'll be palmed off at rightly/wrongly if you go to the docs about it.
I've had similar issues previously, lost about a stone in weight in two weeks having spent three months putting it on when I basically just couldn't face eating, constantly upset stomach, got to the stage where I was expecting to feel shite and as a result did feel shite. Couldn't break that circle.
One thing I've tried doing to get over feeling a bit rundown (which is when it begins to grow as an issue in my head) is to sort out certain things to look forward/count down to. Days out, tickets for things, trips, anything that just has me ticking days off as one less until.....
But yeah, every time I've been to the doctors for a multitude of symptoms they've just said ''anxiety, try not to worry''.
Lul thinking about it, first time I went I explain my issue was I'd developed a phobia of throwing up, and when I felt anxious I felt sick, so I was feeling anxious about feeling sick (especially in early mornings) which was causing me to feel sick in the first place. Gave some examples of when I'd have to get up early and how I'd spend the few days before feeling anxious in case I felt like I was going to be sick. Advice? "Go and sit on a train platform". Mong.
Oh and if it is anxiety, good luck. CBT was fucking shite, spent half the time dissecting things I wasn't even aware of that suddenly and still does make me relaly self-concsious rather than addressing the issue itself.

Yeah knowing me it's definitely not anxiety haha, I have basically nothing to get worked up about. A quick google has told me that that's what it gets diagnosed as for most people though.

For the portion thing... Once you get into a rhythm of not eating much your body gets used to it and therefore gets very full when you try to eat more than that small portion size. Forcing yourself to eat will get your appetite back but I'm not sure if it's the best/most healthiest way. Basically, the less you eat the less you'll feel hungry (after a period of a week or two) and the more you eat the more your body will want good throughout the day.
At least that's how it works for me.

Yeah I'm like that too Cashis, after Christmas when I've been eating shit for fun I need a few days of cutting it back while my stomachs like FEED MEE!!!!! Then it goes back to normal.
Are you missing me on FIFA m8 is that what it is?

could be IBS, I've had it for about a year now, was much worse early 2013
got tablets for it but the main thing that helped was starting exercising again and sorting out my diet
fittest and healthiest I've felt in a while right now because of it

@djed, seems I had the same as you. I got anxiety over being sick in public places, whether that was a meal out or a choir concert I was in. Caused an endless spiral. But got over it about a year ago fully just by pushing myself not to hide from going to places. Best cure for anxiety is to do what you don't want to do.

I can feel like that sometimes at college and although it doesn't seem to be as extreme as that, it can be just from ignoring basic human needs.
Not going to sleep until 5am is not good for you nor are 3 hour sleeps. Skipping breakfast is not good for you, nor is only eating 2 meals a day. Sometimes when I feel down or sickish for little reason, I realise that it can be something as simple as bad habits. Obviously it could be more serious than that but putting your body to some sort of a routine definitely helps.

Anxiety/Depression, along with other problems that you can self treat.
The anxiety and depression you'll need to see a doctor about, but along with that you need to take other steps. Improve your diet, cut down on shitty drinks, stick to a good sleeping pattern. With the lack of appetite Cashis is right with what he said, you just need to gut it out as uncomfortable as feeling sick is for a little while and you'll be ok. Try to stick to the three square meals a day, if you're snacking then aim for healthier options. Could be worth taking some iron tablets as well, since it's quite common for slight anemia to go hand in hand with these type of issues.
CBT is hit and miss, the premise of it is very good, but it depends how invested you are in it and how much you're willing to commit. With somethings they'll set you a task of stuff like 'Say hello to every person that you pass each day.' Which you may see as pointless, but ultimately it all builds with every step. Definitely ask to be prescribed tablets too, if they palm you off with the 'Don't try to worry' make it clear that it isn't really an option since you've already tried it.

Mine was the physical act of being sick, got so worked up in my head that I hated it that I began to feel anxious (and thus feel sick) about actually feeling sick. Which was utterly annoying because when I felt fine, I was able to understand what a ridiculous thing it was, but then it'd keep coming back. Wouldn't say I'm over it, don't think I ever will be, I've just been able to push through and force myself to go through with things knowing that after a few hours I'd be back to feeling normal. But yeah, mentally, when you're able to start doing what previously you strugged with, even if you feel shite doing it, gives you enough confidence in yourself to be able to keep doing it. Plus if you lot think I'm argumentative online, imagine what I'm like in my own head when I'm trying to tell myself I won't be sick, therefore there's no need to feel sick, back and forth and back and forth.

Similar-ish (although not nearly as bad) as symptoms I had before it was discovered I had a gluten (wheat) intolerance.
You might have a food intolerance of some sort. Can wear your body down and cause you to feel sick/be sick/not have much energy/not feel like eating/losing and not putting on weight.
See your doctor. Tell him your symptoms, if he agrees it might be that you've developed an intolerance to something it'd be fairly easy to set you up for tests for it.

I've felt a lot better since I stopped taking drugs like coke, speed and tablets. Would never take anything like that again.

The point is I'm too ill to do that kind of thing. edit: Cheers for the help everyone. I'm not a fussy eater but the thought of most food right now just makes me feel horrible, particularly anything hot. I'm fairly certain that that's all it is, the fact that I barely eat when I'm here. Going to go to Morrisons tomorrow and buy a ton of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, healthy stuff that I like, got plenty of money right now so just going to concentrate on making myself feel better. Think a lot of it is mental as well, like I'm dreading food, thinking that it's just going to make me throw up straight away. Getting me proper down being here while feeling this way, it's a shit place to be when you're not feeling good. And while I don't think anxiety is a factor, like I'm just constantly worried about being ill, letting it get on top of me and stuff which can't help either.

My brother sounds a bit like you and he's been on tablets that line the stomach or something so that he can keep his food down or something. They're called mebeverine if you wanna look into that #FreeBTS
