Peter Crouch had a bit of that going. People just saw him as a big dangley clumsy guy when he is (was?) actually very skilful. He's a fucking hopeless, cheating cunt. I hope he falls over.

For Rangers, Maurice Edu got way more abuse than he deserved. Was never the best player, but was steady enough. But anytime something went wrong the blame would be aimed towards him or any time he made a mistake the crowd would get on his back straight away. agree that he was an easy target for the crowd, his confidence was non existent in his last year. but as a so called holding midfielder he was useless , played with 10 men some games. had zero positional sense, thought he could be the Pirlo-esc , strolling , holding midfielder that doesn't have to tackle or go tight on someone.but if you can't read the game your team is fucked , that's what Edu brought us. lafferty and more recently faure are better examples for us

Crahchie is a good player tbh, was never a Liverpool or Tottenham player he has maybe overachieved a bit thats fair to say but so many people within the game saw him as something he isn't maybe including his old mucker 'Arry
Certainly wouldn't call him hopeless or shit or anything like that, am always pleased for him when he scores or plays well against a good team cos he's got so much stick, some may be fair but alot is unwarranted definitely

James Milner aswell, a very good on his day excellent footballer who gets stick on the basis he isn't Ronaldo But not even close to being good enough to play for England on a regular basis. Look up the definition of "boring footballer" in the dictionary and you'll see Milner's vacant expression. Can you tell I don't rate him?

Think Milner's main hindrance has been his versatility, has meant he's been used in a variety of different teams and positions. He's basically jack of all trades master of none.

I remember Milner being absolute class for Villa a few seasons back on the wing.

Milner is a fantastic player, he's different from the brainless pace merchants we have running down the wing for England these days. Such an intelligent player who uses his brain rather than his physical attributes, even though he is quick and strong. That's why he's versatile and can drop back into the midfield as well, where he's also capable of looking like one of the best players on the pitch.

He's quick, he just very rarely has to show it.
