Haha I wasn't sure if Gianni Infantino Was being serious when talking about Milner then. The lad's finally lost it.

]But not even close to being good enough to play for England on a regular basis. Look up the definition of "boring footballer" in the dictionary and you'll see Milner's vacant expression. Can you tell I don't rate him? He probably isnt good enough (and doesn't play in his best position for his team enough) to be a starter for england you're right, but he is a half decent player though and would've been much better had he not made a bad choice when he went to man city never going to be a world beater though

There are so many English players who seem to just regress after a big move/coming into public eye. Milner was a serious player for Villa. Similarly, see Ashley Young at United, Lennon never seemed to improve his decision-making sufficiently. Shaun Wright-Philips was so exciting when he burst onto the scene and then he descended into mediocrity. Alan Smith got destroyed with injury and Ferguson playing him out of position. Bit early for him but Rodwell looked a player and 12 league games for City since August 2012 isn't exactly promising.

tbf Milner always does a job for City when he plays, it's not as if he's completely useless if he's put in a proper role.
Main problem for him with England is that he's given too much of a defensive role and you never see him actually do anything worthwhile, so he comes in for criticism more than most other players on the pitch.

And if someone is too quick for him, Koscielny or Sagna are usually covering. I love Mertesacker and Koscielny - always rated Koscielny even when he got sent off on his debut at Anfield. He still had a good game! Song used to be a punchline player. People thought he was absolute dog shite.

Lampard - the fact "Fat Frank" still gets bandied about smh
Mikel as well obviously.
And then any big money signing that didn't live up to the hype. Sheva, Torres etc. I remember when we signed Drogba for example I knew this one idiot who read somewhere online that Drogba started out as a right back so after every single fucking game "24 million for a right back?!" Fuck me. Obviously Drog became class but he struggled a bit that first season.

Welbeck.
Always find the reactions of both England/United fans to this guy amazing at times, to me it's been obvious for ages he's going to be a quality player yet some United fans on other boards are raging when he gets a chance and then even on here you've got some people not even putting him in their England squad/questioning his inclusion which is absolutely fucking mental really.
5 in 8 starts this season for a player that 'can't finish', shame about the injuries but he's seemingly pretty nailed on when fit and hopefully with RVP out for a month he can get his chance through the middle.

Anyone would think Welbeck scored two yesterday... Tbf it's hardly like it's a kneejerk opinion of mine is it? He's been injured and in and out most of this season. I mainly just noticed it yesterday after the anger at him being selected on a United forum I visit.

I like Welbeck but at the end of the day he scored 2 goals or something last season, it's not hard to see why people don't rate him.

It was tongue in cheek. I like Welbeck and I know you're a big fan too but his goalscoring record for a side like Utd is abysmal. 2 last year and scored in 2 matches this year. He really needs to improve that side of his game before a lot of people let up.

Are people forgetting Welbeck scored 12 goals for us the season before last, ya know, when he was being played as a striker?

I was going to say that, those two games are the only two times I remember him being played striker this year. Becomes a poor man's Kuyt when he plays on the wing.
