One of my best friends was vegan for about 3-4 months because his girlfriend was one and he was curious to the health benefits of it. He said it really helped with his IBS problems. I think he's gone back to meat though in the past two weeks.

why do you think that Cashis? Bit late now isn't it and our lass is whinging at me so I'll probably go into it tomorrow, well later today. Title was dramatic, mostly we've all just been indoctrinated into a system that makes us think meat and dairy are "healthy" when in reality it's destroying the planet at an alarming rate whilst also being carcinogenic and bad for us. That's the crux of it without going into the obvious moral issues whereby we slaughter millions upon millions of animals daily for our own selfish needs yet have the gall to claim we're "animal lovers" when we literally eat their dead rotting flesh whilst supporting their rape (dairy) then there's the obvious and proven health benefits of lesser chance of cancer, heart disease etc. due to lower cholesterol and sat fats generally found in a vegan diet. Also Inb4dan Edit; pls try and see this not from a me judging anyone point of view, I know all this to be true and *still* eat meat and dairy, making me worse than any of you who aren't educated on such matters.

nah each to their own like, I also believe it's a healthier way of living but won't go down that path because I love meat too much really, I also survive on dairy. such a hard regime to stick to and I do admire those who can stick to it. for me I won't go vegan until I've achieved certain goals I have, unless my health deteriorates to the point where I have to before then.

vegan isnt a choice you just make when you cba to stop eating dairy lol
you either dont want to kill animals at all and you stop immediately, or you just realise its all a bit fucking weird and go get a bacon and egg mcmuffin in a few hours time.

thought you were better than this, Cashis. If I was better than this I'd be vegan. Sadly I still eat carcasses and have products with rape juice in them. I am taking part in the destruction of this planet and I'm meant to look my future children in the eye fully knowing this to be fact and be ok with that? The prediction is we'll be out of fish by 2048 and I still eat fish. Why would a sane person do that? Dunt mek sense m8

I think everything in moderation is fine though dairy does kinda weird me out when I've thought about it lately. Tbh I think we've fucked it so badly we probably need to go vegan to try and reverse the effects on the planet, whereas if we'd just stuck to moderation the whole time we'd be grand.

The planet is fucked anyway, you changing the milk you drink and eating some rabbit food instead of meat isn't going to change much. How the fuck can anyone predict that we're going to be out of fish by 2048? What an awful statistic that is.
I completely understand the reasons that people would go vegan, but not from people who have spent their whole life eating meat and dairy stuff who suddenly have some major wake up call and change their entire outlook on life. It is shit how some animals are treated for dairy products? Yes. Is it going to make much difference if I stop having a bacon sarnie every now and then? Nope.

Thats being a twat. Putting your own 'goals' ahead of the needless suffering of animals. What a cunt you are.
