Fave mock draft so far. Can deffo see the Chiefs’ selection contributing on day one. loooool he's barely 2 years younger than Mahomes too, what a succession plan Dunno what's worst, Witherspoon falling to 14, no JSN, Skoronski being the 4th tackle off the board or that. Tell you what though if Seattle leave day one with Van Ness and Will Anderson I'll be buzzing

Could be wrong but isn’t the idea with Skonronski that given his measurables he’s looked at as an elite level guard (where arm length doesn’t matter as much) who can be competent if kicked out to tackle?
Joe Thuney has had to do that a couple of times for the Chiefs due to injuries and he was solid though deffo not a permanent solution (think he might have been a high school/college tackle too).
Rashwan Slater for the Chargers is a bit of a T-Rex LT and he’s played really well when healthy but iirc Skonronski’s length is even shorter than his.

Which WR should I get most hyped about the Chargers drafting at 21 then Would you say you guys are looking for more of a speed guy threatening downfield to complement Williams/Allen and free Justin Herbert from dink-and-dunk-ville? Jalin Hyatt (v much a straight line burner) probably fits the profile best but might be a bit rich at 21. Zay Flowers could work too and is much more polished as a route runner but is v small and went to a small school. Think the general consensus is this class is down talent-wise on previous years and all the top guys have at least some questions.

Definitely speed yeah, though they could also go TE if there's one they fancy and look to pick up a speed guy later on. Any world in which Justin Herbert can stop having the lowest average depth per target in the league is good with me.

Yeah consensus does seem to be he'd be better off initially at guard, Slater is a really good comp in terms of perception and he's holding up really well at tackle so who knows

Chiefs fans were fuming being linked with Jahmyr Gibbs at 31.
The Lions took him at 12.
When they had another pick 18.
Also, Jalen Carter to the Eagles is just…
unfair.

Isn’t that just a bit of easy revisionism though? If the Lions wanted him as their first pick then it makes sense to get him then. It’s easy to say they took him too early I think but who’s to say someone else wasn’t going to come in and get him 13-17?

It’s easy to say they took him too early I think but who’s to say someone else wasn’t going to come in and get him 13-17? If this was a pick for a prime position (QB, OT, Edge) where the drop off in talent from the very top picks to the rest is huge I’d agree. If you’re really sure about a guy at your pick then go get him. But once you get outside those you have to think much more about how much talent you can get in aggregate over an entire draft to fill out your roster in the most effective way possible. On top of that I’m not even sure RB was such a dire need on the Lions anyway given they have Swift and Montgomery under contract - at least not to such an extent that it couldn’t be addressed in later rounds. They had one of the worst defenses in the league last year. I’d guess that was a more pressing concern for top tier talent. If someone had gotten ahead of Detroit for Gibbs more fool them imo. And I don’t even think he’s a bad player.
