Aguero is a better player than Sturridge, and is much more likeable than Suarez, but I wouldn't replace Suarez with anyone in the world. My admiration for Suarez is like the admiration I had for Torres, no one could have convinced me there was a better striker in the world than Torres at the time, and I was absolutely gutted when he left. Gonna be even more gutted next year when Suarez probably leaves.

I'd take Suarez over any player in the world except for Messi and Ronaldo. Aguero is very good but he's not better than Suarez.

I should probably clarify that whilst I wouldn't change Suarez for anyone, I think Aguero is better than him. He's a better finisher and is more consistent.

Is he really more consistent though? Suarez has been in a stupid run of form for well over a year now, Aguero only got 12 goals last season.

Wasn't he constantly injured last season?

Played 30 games in the league still. Only three fewer than Suarez with half the goals.

You could argue City were poor last year which by their standards they were but at the same time Liverpool haven't exactly been Champions material over the last two seasons.

I certainly think so. Suarez's goalscoring figures are inflated due to the fact that he'll score 2 one game, go missing for a couple of games, than score another 2 etc. It's not always the case, and I think Suarez creates more than Aguero, but if you gave each player a target of X amount of goals, Aguero would get there with less shots on goal and his goals would be more spread out across time.

It's the typical argument of who is better great player who makes an average team better (mainly because all attacks are based around him) or a great player who makes a great team even better (mainly because the players around him lots of chances for him).
See Maradona vs Pele.
