Purposefully didn't include Ramsey or Sczesny because I don't watch Polish/Welsh football, I'd be surprised if they weren't established in those NTs though tbh. Wilshere has never made a spot his own in the English NT, look at the last set of fixtures where he was absolutely shite and look at the amount of abuse Tom Cleverley gets. He's getting games for England because a top player hasn't come in and made the spot their own, he'd be in the fucking boot-room if they had. Walcott is much the same, never been to an International tournament as a key man and other wide-men like Townsend and Welbeck have impressed far more in the short time they have been in the team so I don't think it was, by any means, a given he was one in Brazil. At 25. Can't even remember the last time he played well for England. Why does their nationality matter though? They're established internationals which is what the point was. Last set of fixtures Wilshere wasn't even fully fit. As for not making the spot his own? Quotes from Gerrard and Hodgson about him seem to suggest otherwise. When Walcott has been fit, he's started for England. Other players were only given the chance out on the right when Walcott was injured or lacking match fitness. Likewise with Wilshere. When they've been fit, they've started. Established. Of course they do, and of course it's unlikely in the current environment of increased competition that they'll manage to do so. But I still disagree to suggest they can would be ludicrous. I'd say it's more a missed opportunity than a false dawn though, don't think anybody was expecting us to go on and dominate or keep challenging. That team from 08-11 was always prone to a collapse, especially at the end of games. This team isn't, I still maintain we've got a better 'team' now than we did back in 08. The entire discussion revolves around potential though as that's where Wengers comments were based, and whilst I'm not arguing that they will emulate United's group I do think you're being overly harsh in deriding Wenger for it and suggesting it was ludicrous; he's said some far more quesitonable things to use as a stick to beat him with.

At the risk of sounding racist, is it just me or does Lukaku look like KSI now he's without his long hair?

So far I've whittled it down to a taller, chunkier Asamoah Gyan, or just Jozy Altidore in an Everton shirt.

Zoopla's ending their sponsorship with West Bromwich Albion at the end of the season. Someone's got a bit stressy over that Anelka celebration. Lazy journalism, it was due to end anyway. Fair play to west brom for sticking by him

Not really lazy journalism given Zoopla went to the trouble of announcing that they wouldn't be renewing because of the Anelka thing.
Hope he kisses the logo or something next time he scores.

If Maily Dail are to be believed it'll be a while until he's even playing again.

One of the main owners/CEO of Zoopla is jewish apparently. I wouldn't be surprised if they made such a big fuss of it for some free 'PC high horse' publicity.
And it worked because it made the main news. A cynical viewpoint admittedly.

Their contract was up at the end of the year anyway, clearly done for free publicity, very effectively too I might add.

Glen Johnson out injured now too. Not sure on the length, but Kelly will play against Bournemouth.
