"Danny Mills, the opinionated former England defender who sat on the England Commission, blithely insisted that fans of Hartlepool would far rather see their club play Manchester United B than Torquay United." Only just read this, fucking lol. I'm sure they wouldn't. They'd stand a chance of beating Torquay, for a start...

Saw this on Twitter:
UEFA 'A' Coaches: England - 1,178 Germany - 5,500 Spain - 12,720
Cost of Course: England - £5,600 Germany - €530 Spain - €1,200

Could they not just do a couple of years residency in Germany and pay for it all there then? Still probably cheaper than doing it here. That's what I'd probably end up doing, but considering I'm planning on doing coaching and getting my badges, my best bet would be Spain I suppose.

If it's something you really want to do then why not? I get it's your thing to disagree but it's not a stupid notion. If you're that dedicated that you'd otherwise spend £5600 on it, I'm sure moving abroad for a while wouldn't be too much of a stretch either.

If you've got a job over here in a multinational company then yeah, you can transfer easily enough.

If you've got a family you've got more important things to be worrying about than your coaching badges.
All I'm saying is, if you're going for your A license, from whatever stage you're already at, you only have two options. You either bend over to the price it's gonna cost you doing it over here, or you can make a sacrifice and put yourself in an uncomfortable situation but knowing you can get the course for a lot cheaper. I hate to be so extreme with the example but that's what Mourinho did, lived over here for a while to learn.

no. how can you assume that everyone with a family isn't interested in coaching badges? you think every single person who takes these courses doesn't have a wife or kids?
i think its pretty easy for some 20 year old with no responsibilities to champion fucking off to germany for a bit because it seems cheaper

Yeah its really silly. Move to a country you cant speak the language of and you know nobody in to do a course in a foreign language. Even if it was £2000 theyd make a fortune without making it so cheap that every Tom, Dick and Sam does it and thinking he's Mourinho MkII.

It's not easy to move country yet thousands of people do it. It's not hard to learn a language. What you've described there is just basically uni as well.
I have responsibilities and that's why I can't just drop what I'm doing and go into coaching. But given half the chance I'd be over there to do it.
