I've only met one and shes not like that at all, but the stuff she comments on on fb is full of them. Im not sure why they think abusing people is going to make them 'see sense' and change their ways.

The researcher from the radio just called me and wants me on the show today to talk about veganism. Joys in life.
Granted, last time this happened I just sat there for an hour and never got spoke to, so we'll see how it goes.

I've recently gone Vegan after four months as a Vegetarian. I steer clear from 'Vegan Twitter' though. They do more harm than good in terms of spreading the Vegan message. Unsurprisingly most people don't respond well to being patronised and talked down to.
Honestly going Vegan is the best thing you can do and I would encourage it. However I'm not about to start lecturing people on how to live their life, I have better things to do with my time. Tweeting strangers pictures of dead animals like so many do is counterproductive and a waste of time.
I know of people who refuse to eat dinner in the same room as their family if they're eating meat. You can't live like that.

It is very off-putting having people speak to you like that. I understand why people are Vegan and its probably a great thing but it makes you want to mock them when they talk the way they do.
I try to live and let live as I've said many times, I like Cashis but the way he approaches both being a Vegan and Religion isn't for me.
I told him my gf was vegetarian and he immediately told me so was pro rape and most likely is a vegetarian because she doesn't like the taste of meat or words to that effect. Crazy things to say about someone he doesn't know but he did the same about my brothers friend who is religious.
I might become a Vegan one day myself but it will be on my own journey and maybe through encouragement of others as you say. It won't be through someone preaching to me showing me dead animals, I'm more likely to say pass the fucking steak with that approach.

People are different though I guess. Cashis mentioned he showed his dad a video and his dad from that moment either vowed to never eat meat again or maybe it was red meat but whatever it was that approach worked for him.
For every Cashis there will be a Mike and for everyone non-Vegan there will be someone who switches because of Mikes approach and some because of Cashis' approach.

I actually have no idea haha Tbh I don't like people being militant about anything in life and being aggressive about what people do or believe is just the wrong way to go about it imo. I completely disagree with organised religion and the idea of a God ruling over us essentially but I'm not about to patronise or shit on someone elses beliefs. Fully engage in a debate and if it gets heated so be it but I'd never go into it with the mindset of "this person is fucking insane for believing this" Similarly veganism, like I haven't even gone vegetarian but after watching Cowspiracy I'm just a bit stunned by it, and I tell people but in a 'did you know this?!' kinda way. But Cowspiracy ends with some ex dairy farmer saying "you can't be an environmentalist and still eat meat" in the most fuck off superior voice and they lost me haha

I must sit down and watch Cowspiracy, it's probably just a deeper darker version of Food Inc. Which put me off burgers for a few weeks but then I went to a bbq and remembered that I like food.
Also, who in their right mind tweets pictures of dead animals as some form of pro-vegan statement? That's proper mental.
