Thought we'd already decided we'd have Johnson, City get Sagna and you get richards. Just like we will get Benzema/Cavani, Real/PSG will get Suarez and you can have bendtner. Everyone happy

I'd rather have Eduardo's ankle injury then any of Arsenal's strikers play for us.

Alright, moving on...
Tottenham.
Do they do another overhaul? Get rid of 2 or 3 of those signings and bring another 2 or 3 in?
Will Hugo Lloris and Vertonghen both be leaving?
Will they invest in another striker or rely on Adebayor, hoping Soldado can remember how to play football again?
Is Erik Lamela alive?

I don't think they should actually change it that much, part of the problem with Spurs is that they change it up every summer, manager changes too so there's no continuity or spine to their team. They need a strong spine like the top teams have, if you look at City, it's Hart, Kompany, Toure, Silva, Aguero. Lloris, Eriksen are good enough, Adebayor isn't that consistent but isn't the biggest problem either but they need someone to take charge in defence and midfield.
If they were buying, I think they need to look at the full-backs and maybe a strong centre-back.

Agreed, not a lot needs changing. Tbh there were times when Spurs showed so much promise under AVB earlier in the season, they just suffered when trying to get goals. Could definitely do with a commanding centre half/midfielder, but it really depends who goes out the door.
Any chance of Vertonghen leaving?

SoSage has got it in my head that we're going to get Benitez and now I can't think of anyone else
if he's the only signing we make all summer I'll be happy

Benitez would be the best person we could get, if he wants it.
We desperately need a left back, and 1 centre back minimum. In an ideal world, we'd sign a midfielder who can start attacks like Modric, but players of that ilk are so few and far between. Dropped a bollock not getting Moutinho.

Vertonghen would be a good signing for Liverpool I think the way they play.

£25million is a bit expensive for a player who looked bang average at times last season. I would like to see us go in for him though.

Gomes & Kaboul are almost certainly going since they're both out of contract and I doubt either'll be renewed. I assume we'll actively try and get rid of Lennon, Sigurdsson & one of Soldado or Adebayor.
Lloris will go, Vertonghen won't, his awful season last year will have cost him. We'll take the £25m from Monaco and drive up to Stoke with it.
Defence needs another centre back, someone like Garay but not Garay but maybe Garay? Joleon Lescott'd make a lot of sense.
Midfield is fine. With someone competent, it could be more than that. Maybe, maybe we need a playmaker, but we'll only get him if Paulinho/Dembele go. Neither would be a massive loss. Schneiderlin'd be top.
And then forward line. Fuck knows what we're doing there. I'd love Remy but he's surely Arsenal bound, so maybe Jay Rodriguez if our culling of Southampton continues.
It really depends on our manager though, I imagine Pochettino & de Boer'd have very different preferences. Of course the sensible choice is and remains Rafa but we don't do sensible choices, FANCY EXPERIMENTAL MANAGER HO
