I didn't say that he did. But he did say Spurs should build the team with those three players. Alluding that he'd like them to play big roles in the first team next season. Either way Spurs will go nowhere fast if those three are given prominent roles. Kane scored 3 in his first 3 starting games for us this season, not saying he's a world beater but he's doing enough at the age of 20 to warrant consideration next season. Fucking half puts a lot of work in in the final third as well. Would be surprised if he didn't finish on double figures for games played. What have you really seen of Carroll as well? Probably barely anything considering even Spurs fans have only really seen enough to still hope that he's promising/does actually come good. Played out of place in 'arrys qpr team and still got rave reviews. Have my doubts about Bentaleb but he was no worse than Dembele who should be sold imo. They won't make 30 games individually but if we want them to do well season after next we'll have to chuck them in at some point, and none of them have done much to suggest that'd be a crime. edit: Star of Spurs ashley cole will never happen Keep Lloris, Vertonghen and Ade and have Lamela back fit by September and I'll be happy next season.

i'd sell my first born son to have ashley cole in our lineup next year tbh
it's unlikely obviously sicne he'd have better offers but he wouldn't have to move city and would get a starting berth. our fans wouldn't accept him though because he's not a proper tottenham man ie he's won things

as for kane/bentaleb/fryers/fredericks/carroll - they'll all be backup next year which is a better option than someone we bring in from west ham or east copenhagen for £5m

Aye, would keep Fryers and Fredericks as well. Like Fryers and was annoyed that Naughton managed to keep talking his way into the squad over him with all that rubbish about leaving when he must have been the only person to see that he probably won't be here next season anyway.
also you're reason re why cole wouldn't be accepted by spurs fans <<<<

I'd be pretty surprised if Cole went anywhere near Spurs. He's still a top class left back, would be interested to see him go abroad

Alright, so we seemed to have reached the conclusion we had during all of the season. That no one actually knows what Spurs should do. But still finish top 4! Next up, Premier League cham- -... runners up, Liverpool! No doubt they need to add some depth to the squad. So they don't have to rest Luis Suarez with backup of Iago fucking Aspas. Who is good enough to fill in but be happy to spend a lot of time on the bench? What positions do they need to flat out impove? A less leaky defence wouldn't go a miss. And then some centre midfielders? Can Steven Gerrard play every week, with Champions League games sandwiched in now? Then obvs there's the Lallana rumours that have kept Stu awake all night...

Wouldn't mind Mo Diame as backup, got a boss engine on him, he'd go well alongside or to back up Hendo.
I also wouldn't mind Isco or Rakitic. I really am not that convinced with £20m plus for Lallana. I don't care about proven in the league etc, top class players excel everywhere.
Defensively we need better full backs. The current options are backup quality for a team aiming for titles and Europe success. Especially left back, I'd love a good one of them.

Left back is crucial for them, haven't ever rated Enrique that highly, and the less said about Cissohko this season the better.
Vertonghen comes to mind. Could perform well at either CB or LB, can't imagine him being that expensive as well.
Winger also comes to mind, because if Sterling becomes unavailable you pretty much have nothing there apart from Oussama fucking Assaidi.

In the four, much more successful months which followed, we didn't use them. So he might not be arsed about them now. We don't need wingers because we have a frontline which can be moved around to fit what we have. We just need either Suso back in the first team or a new creative force behind Suarez and Sturridge.

Tom Carroll got far from rave reviews at QPR. Did very little all season. He's still far too lightweight for me.

"Lightweight" is such a bullshit English fallacy
Luka Modric was lightweight, Christian Eriksen is lightweight
