Alright, season's over. It's now one of the most exciting times of the year, unless you're an Arsenal or Saints fan...the transfer window.
This thread should give us some discussion while we wait on the World Cup and classics like Greece vs Japan.
Every couple of days I'll post a team, mostly Premier League cuz anything lower will soon become a Manchester Utd B Team and who really cares about the less exciting, less competitive, less unpredictable, more racist amd more corrupt Serie A? Then we use our years of FM experience to discuss who we woudld sign for said teams this summer to improve them. But unlike FM we cant take control of the other team and sell their best player for £0 (sorry Spurs fans, Gareth Bale is not coming back).
I'll start with the team who never actually spend any money, because that is a great idea. Arsenal. Will Arsene Wenger repeat last summer and splash the cash on a big name for big money, this time in the striker department? Or has he done what I do with my wage, go out and get something really great and enjoy it but end up going back to living off pennies cause you cant really afford that shit?
Imo he has to go out and sign a striker. I have this feeling though he will persist with Giroud and buy a cheaper backup instead though, or someone ok to share the workload with him (Ba? Remy?) rather than a superstar to push them on (Cavani?). Or maybe Lukaku but imo he'd be an awful fit for them. They also need a new rightback with Sagna off. I cant think of anyone good tbh, maybe Micah or Glen Johnson? Or someone with the French league.
Signing someone like Bender/Khedira to play alongside Ramsey and Wilshere would be huge for them. Arteta is decent but too easily overran (see: every top 4 game they've took a hammering in). I still want to see Vermaelen given a go in DM tbf.
Also I've just remembered all the talk linking them with Draxler in January. Has that all died down then?
