What does the A-league have to do with the World Cup though? No one gives a shit about the Brazilian Serie A, South Africa's top league etc. Australia is the best next place to go in Asia. They have the means to host it so why not.
Also the world doesn't centre around us. Why are we so worthy that the games have to fit our times?

It represents a large part of the work Australia have done to increase the profile of football in their country, which FIFA supposedly value, that's why I mentioned it.

Bad News Barrett said England sets the time for the whole world with GMT so we should be the most important factor in when World Cup games are played.

Erm what age are you Stu? '02 the games were early morning and the heat was a factor. '94 in the States the hest was a huge factor. Mexico and Argentina, South Africa??
By your criteria the World Cup would just be in Europe every time.
Australia have already shown between the Olympics in Sydney and the Rugby World Cup they're more than capable of hosting the event. As much as Aussies annoy me, they'd be great hosts to be fair

I agree, I don't see why Australia is so deserving of it. compared to the others they are I think the only thing in their favour is that they've never hosted it before, but I'd rather see it in the U.S. or Japan again.
